The TAAF Track & Field Program Goal is to provide a regional and state championship meet for recreational track & field athletes. It is our desire to give participants a chance to compete in a sport, to be successful against athletes of their own ability, and have the same opportunities to train, in order to enhance self-esteem

Region 4 Track & Field Scholarship
The Texas Amateur Athletic Federation Region 4 Track and Field Scholarship is
funded by a portion of the Region 4 Track and Field Membership Fees. These
funds are set up in the TAAF Region 4 Account. It is offered to TAAF Region 4
Track and Field participants, both past and present; that are in high school and/or
college students seeking undergraduate or postgraduate degrees. Preference may be
given to those applicants who plan to major or who are currently majoring in the
field of sports sciences, kinesiology, conservation, physical education, recreation
and tourism management and/or other related courses of study which may
contribute to the field of parks and recreation. One scholarship will be awarded
annually.
